‘Revolution’ Recap: No Answers About Aaron in ‘There Will Be Blood’

by fat vox

The second episode in Season 2 of “Revolution” was called “There Will Be Blood.” In this exciting episode, Aaron tried to figure out why he was brought back to life, while Miles came face-to-face with the creepiest guy in America. Here’s what happened in this episode, in case you missed it.

Aaron’s miraculous recovery

After coming back to life last episode, Aaron and Rachel try to figure out exactly how Aaron was able to cheat death. Perhaps something happened to him at the Tower, but it’s just not clear. Rachel and her father, Gene, think that the nanites might be involved.

There are piles of dead rats kicking around…did bringing Aaron back to life kill all the rats as some form of equivalent exchange? And why is Aaron seeing visions of Ben Matheson? Aaron’s Lazarus trick was impressive, but there are no answers that explain how he did it.

Miles in danger

After being abducted by a war clan, Miles is in serious trouble. The leader of the clan is Titus Andover, a former school headmaster turned warlord. Titus may just be the creepiest character “Revolution” has debuted so far. The blackout was timed just perfectly to prevent him from being arrested on child pornography charges, which lends a whole new level of creepiness to his army of former schoolkids.

Miles spent most of this episode trapped in a cage. Titus breaks Miles’ hands, which is bad news in a time where medicine is on par with the 1800s. How is he ever gonna wield a saber again? Rachel and Gene are trying to find Miles, but the two of them against Titus and his forces seems like a recipe for bloodshed.

Charlie forms an unlikely alliance

Meanwhile, Charlie continues to be surprisingly sexy, sassy, and fun. Season 2 Charlie is way more fun to watch than Season 1 Charlie. In this episode, Charlie gets caught by bounty hunters who say they work for the U.S. government (clearly, they didn’t get furloughed despite the government shutdown!)

Because the bounty hunters only get paid if they bring Monroe in alive, they shoot Charlie and take her prisoner so she can’t kill Monroe. They capture Monroe, who quickly escapes and kills one of the bounty hunters in the process!

Tom is a man with a plan

Good old Tom Neville is working a long con as part of his plan to infiltrate the government. His plot isn’t bearing fruit quite yet, but Tom is willing to be patient if it means having an outlet for his widower’s rage.

“Revolution” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
