Christiano Ronaldo, the goal machine of the Galacticos, scored a brace with his tremendous contribution to another goal for Real Madrid which brought his side a comeback victory over Getafe by 4-1 on Sunday during a Spanish League match while the new Real Madrid player Gareth Bale was not able to play his home debut after getting his leg injured some time before the game began. Bale who came to Real Madrid with a record transfer fee from Tottenham was excluded from the beginning lineup of Real Madrid when the medical staff of the club thoroughly examined the striker’s leg and declared that he should have been kept under tests. Bale got injured during a warm-up when working in Santiago Bernabeu. The club’s staff told that it could be just a precaution that they decided that Bale would not take part in the match.
The game started with a sheer disappointing outcome just after fifteen minutes as Angel Lafita, the forward of Getafe, opened up their score line with a goal which brought the Madrid fans a disappointment for their side’s unconventional start. The whole crowd for the Galacticos got unhappy with the score. However, things just turned radically after a few minutes when Pepe in the 19th minutes got to score from a sudden rebound. The later part of the game was only for the Madrid players who shined throughout the match.
Christiano Ronaldo managed to convert an abrupt penalty which added to the Madrid score as the second goal in the 33rd minute. Then, he created another opportunity for his side by setting up his teammate Francisco “Isco” Alarcon when it was almost near an hour of the match. Just in the 59th minute, Alarcon scored the third goal. Again, when the two teams were playing their last minutes during the injury time, Ronaldo stuck the last pain to molest Getafe by scoring his second and the team’s fourth goal. However, much before the fourth goal, Getafe became a team consisting of 10 men. Carlo Ancelotti, the Italian coach who took over the charge of the coach for Madrid for first year, said, “Overall we played a good game. We were unlucky to start a goal behind, but I think our reaction was good. Sometimes we play too far back in defence, but ‘piano piano’ we are improving.”
Ronaldo has scored 209 goals for his side Madrid off 205 games, and the doubles which he made in this match were his 208th and 209th goal. This statistics just took him far by keeping Hugo Sanchez behind in the race of the leading goal scorers for the club. As Sanchez was the fifth leading goal scorers of all times, Ronaldo now occupies the position keeping Sanchez behind. Raul Gonzalez is the all-time highest goal scorers with an amazing total of 323 goals throughout his career at Real Madrid. Ronaldo managed to score seven goals as he took part in the last four games which his side played in all ongoing competitions. Losing Bale could not be huge blow for the Madrid fans though his debut was highly expected as the player who came here wit record transfer fee. The Galactico coach Carlo Ancelotti realized that his side soon fell just behind their polite rivals based on cross-town.
Ronaldo was seemingly unsuccessfully as he unexpectedly squandered some chances which were just back-to-back. These failed attempts of the Portuguese forward resulted in the loss of control over the ball of which Getafe took advantages when a resulting shot from Lafita gave birth to a certain deflection off Real Madrid defender Pepe soon before the ball landed in Madrid’s net. However, the talented forward of Madrid Ronaldo helped his side make the scores equal as he happened to draw a typical save from Miguel Moya, the opponent’s goalkeeper, with a rebound and sudden falling for his mate Pepe to finally tap in. To tell something about the absence of Bale, Luis Garcia, Getafe coach, said, “It didn’t matter that Bale wasn’t there, Isco took his place. All their players are good. With Madrid you can’t talk about them missing players.”
Real Madrid managed to keep their undefeated state fore the last five rounds. They are now the third in La Liga standings with a couple of points behind their arch rival Barcelona along with another rival Atletico Madrid. Villarreal also remained unbeaten as they returned to the top flight of the Spanish League after they had managed to put a goalless draw with Celta Vigo. There was a similar lack in a good finish with Real Betis as they also had to put a goalless draw against Granada which was the visiting team. For this both of them had to be happy with their single win in this year’s season. Valencia got a victory which was highly enjoyable to them as they claimed the win at their home ground against Sevilla with a fantastic total 3-0. Valencia was suffering from their losing streak which had a defeat against Swansea by 3-0 when playing a Europa League match on Thursday.
Jonas, the forward of Brazil, scored a brace for his side Valencia for which he netted the ball in the 32nd minute for the first time in the match. He again netted the ball in the 73rd minute, but before Joans did that Kevin Gameiro, the player of Sevilla also came to level the score on behalf of Sevilla in the 52nd minute of the match. Victor Ruiz, a substitute of Valencia added a new goal to his side’s score line by touching a header in the 82nd minute. By doing this, he managed to spark his Mestalla crowd which showed their disappointment and protesting intuition after his side lost to Swansea. So, the crowd followed with the chant, “Yes! That’s the way!” Amadeo Salva, the honorable president of Valencia, said that Miroslav Djukic, the newly appointed coach, will be likely to finish out this season regardless of what happens in the days ahead. After the match had ended, he just said, “no matter what happens.” This is such a frustrating result that made Sevilla, the team of Unai Emery; go without any victory which resulted in their position in the bottom of the standings.
