Texture / Consistency
While I definitely enjoy the texture or consistency offered by each of these brands of frozen sausage links, I think that the Jones sausage provides a chewier and more substantial mouth-feel than that offered by the Banquet sausage. That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy the texture of the Banquet sausage, because it is actually quite appealing. Quite frequently I like to heat just one Brown ‘n Serve sausage in a paper towel in the microwave oven then eat it in a piece of bread with some ketchup on top. The appealing texture of the sausage always stands out to me when I eat these mini-sandwiches.

Each of these brands of sausage is packaged in a cardboard box that opens easily and each box lists all pertinent ingredient and nutritional information. The Banquet Brown ‘n Serve sausages box features a largely yellow and red design with an illustration of some of the links in the foreground.
The Jones sausages box is mostly white with the green-bordered Jones farmhouse logo and an illustration of some of the links on the front label.
As with many other products it’s very difficult to flatly declare one of these brands of sausage as being the all-around better of the two. Each brand is actually pretty excellent.
The Jones sausage tastes a little mellower to me but each brand offers a pleasant and somewhat understated flavor that makes them great items to eat at any time of the day or night.
Because they’re both such good products, I cheerfully recommend both products.
