Here’s how you can combine reward programs at Burger King in a single visit to maximize your savings.
1. Plink
As featured in our saving list, Plink is an app that rewards you for shopping at their participating merchants. Arby’s, Taco Bell and 7-Eleven were some of their past participating merchants, all of which have left the program. Burger King being one of the longest-participating merchants is still rewarding points through the Plink app.
You can earn 70 Plink points for a purchase of $5 or more at Burger King, or 150 points if you spend $10 or more, plus a bonus 5 points if you check-in using the Plink app. (Post a message to Facebook or Twitter that you’re using an offer on Plink at a merchant.) About once a month, there would be a bonus week during which you can earn double the points at a select store.
So just how much can you save? For 500 points you can redeem a $5 Amazon gift card or an equal value Walmart gift card. That would make each 100 points $1 value.
Take a look at our point history: We made a purchase at a local Burger King for $10.44 (tax included) during the double-the-points bonus week. We received 70 base points + 5 points for check-in + 70 bonus points making it 145 points in total. (About $1.45 value.)
Note: since Plink confirms your purchase when the transaction is posted to your bank account, we thought it would count the total purchase with tax included, because there’s no break-down of subtotal and tax in a bank statement. Clearly that’s not the case. So if you’d like to receive 150 points for your purchase, make sure your order without tax is at least $10.
Saving: $1.05 (on a min $10 purchase.)
Oh, did we say when you join Plink for the first time, they’ll give you a $5 gift card of your choice instantly?
2.Foursquare
Burger King has partnered with Foursquare. Just register your card with Foursquare, check-in on when you’re visiting at a Burger King, and use your registered debit or credit card to pay for your meal within 3 hours of check-in, and boom, you’ll receive $1 back as a statement credit. It’s as simple as that. You only have to register your card with Foursquare once for all of their promotions.
Saving: $1 (on a min $8 purchase)
3. Yuz (TrialPay) in App Promotion.
Originally we discovered this in the offer walls on Swagbucks and Viggle. We added this offer in the offer section in the app Viggle. You can register your debit/credit card on TrialPay’s page (not with individual apps or websites that would give you points back for your Burger King purchase.) The Viggle offer we redeemed gave us 800 points to be redeemed in their reward shop. The most valuable gift card we found is a $25 e-CVS card for 62,500 points. According to our simple calculation, 800 points = a $0.32 e-CVS card.
So we dug this a little deeper and found out the offer we had from Viggle was significant watered-down from TrialPay. You can get $2 back as a statement credit (deposited back to your debit/credit card)
So naturally we applied to get our own account with TrialPay so we can get our readers a even better deal. Lucky you!
Saving: $2 (on a min $10 purchase)
4. Mobile Coupons
Don’t forget to use Burger King coupons you receive in the mail. All of the aforementioned rewards can be used in a single transaction and combined with your Burger King coupons. Better yet, many locations accept mobile coupons found on SnipSnap
With all those four methods combined, you can easily save over 50% on a $10 purchase. Seriously this is what we call a good deal.
