What you’ll need:
Refrigerated pizza dough
Who doesn’t love a pizza buffet? You can help yourself to various types of pizza, such as pepperoni, Hawaiian, Canadian bacon, and others. The buffet often features additional foods, too, such as spaghetti and garlic bread. But a favorite part of a pizza buffet, for me, is the dessert pizza section. Who can resist it? Try pizza that has strawberries and cream cheese, or one with peaches and whip cream. Whether your local pizza buffet has s’mores pizza or not, you’ll love it, and you can serve it at your home on pizza night. You can show your family that you don’t have to go out to an expensive place to enjoy an assortment of pizza.
A dessert pizza can have any number of goodies on it but, in my opinion, one of the most decadent dessert pizzas ever made is a s’mores pizza. You can select your favorite toppings for it so you can serve a traditional dessert pizza or an incredible new recipe that you’ve created.
Although you could make homemade pizza dough it’s so much easier to create the dessert pizza when you start with refrigerated pizza dough. Find it next to the refrigerated biscuits and rolls. Roll it out on a pan and you’re ready to create the dessert variety that you and your family will adore.
Brush the pizza dough with butter and sprinkle sugar on the edges. Then, add the toppings that you want. For a traditional s’mores taste, try chocolate bars, marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs. Or, trade chocolate bars for chocolate syrup, drizzled over the other ingredients. Another choice is to spread marshmallow cream all over the crust, and top it with butterscotch chips, and Keebler Deluxe Grahams.
There are various combinations that you can do to create an assortment of s’mores pizzas. Spread peanut butter over the crust and add chocolate, marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs. Or, make a pizza with just the peanut butter and chocolate bars.
After arranging the pizza the way that you want it, put it in the oven, and follow the instructions on the refrigerated pizza dough to bake it. Don’t have pizza dough? Make a s’mores pizza from cookies instead of dough, or by spreading out crescent rolls to use as dough. Make individual s’mores pizzas by leaving two crescent rolls together and topping them.
No matter if you make one large s’mores pizza, or several small ones, whether you make it a classic taste, or something new and different, your family – or your guests – will line up for some, and then some more…
