If you read and believe the Christian Bible, there are some important Scriptures you may need to know and remember. Some will apply to each Bible Believer or Christian, while others will be applicable to your families, relatives, friends or neighbors.
In the Bible at 2 Corinthians 4 verses 3-4 ( King James Version) the Bible says if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. This usually means that those who do not believe the Bible are being prevented from doing so by unseen evil forces. The Bible in this Scripture, talks about the Gospel of Christ (his Death, Burial and Resurrection) is being prevented from reaching some people because they are overwhelmed by life and daily events of this world. Therefore, they do have the time or desire to make time for God and knowing his word from the Bible. So the pressures of daily life are a burden. And therefore, they cannot seem to find the time to seek after, find and receive the word of God relevant to their circumstances or needed life changes. That is why it is important for Christians to help others reach God by devoting time and effort to his word from the Bible, and answering the questions others may ask as they seek help.
Some Christian Bible Believers prefer to put their Faith in the teachings and practice of the Bible from the Book of Acts Chapter 2 verse 38 while others focus on Matthew 28 verse 19. In any case, the point here is that you need to believe what the Christian Bible says and not an external document often created and developed by Religious Institutions as the alternative definitive Word of God to become a Christian. We are to follow what the Christian Bible says more than what our modern day Organizations leaders will desire to have some of us believe. The process of believing God’s Word that leads to Salvation, for the Believer, must begin with and remain on the Word of God in the Christian Bible.
Ephesians 6:10-18 ( King James Version) in the Bible talks about what Bible Readers, Believers and Christians will face each day. That Scripture refers to rulers of this World who are not inclined to believe the Bible. And who may pose a serious and strong threat to someone who does to the extent that they can be called powers and principalities contrary to the Word of God. Here the Bible is also talking about spiritual wickedness in high places in our societies (City, State, Country and globally) that will require Spiritual Powers that are unseen and divine in nature to deal with such forces. This is not an easy issue to explain and discuss. What is basically important is for the Christian and Bible Believer to continue believing even during difficult times caused by spiritual wickedness against a person or group. The Armor of God, that is truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God) and prayer are important to remember and implement each day by the individual to help deal with the unfortunate event they may be facing.
Romans Chapter 6 verses 1-12 ( King James Version) talks about not allowing sin to prevail in the Christian Believer daily life. In other words, the believer must not continue to willfully do evil and unrighteousness that are against or contrary to the Bible. For the Believer, the old man (or woman) is crucified with Christ (from water baptism) and renewed with the receiving of the Holy Spirit (called New Birth) so that and his/her body should no longer be willful participant of sin. Here the mind of the person becomes significant. Romans 8 verses 5-10 speaks about being spiritually minded with life, peace and righteousness, rather than being carnally minded with an inclination to pursuing and doing evil each day that will be against the body, mind and word of God. The above information is enlightenment so we know that we cannot continue doing evil deeds and serve God as a Believer.
By receiving the Spirit of God (popularly called Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost) we become the children of God as stated in Romans 8 verses 41-18 of the Bible. Here the Bible is not saying we are children in the traditional sense. Instead, we become dependent on God for all (or at least most things) as children would depend on their parents for their daily life provisions, guidance and protection from their adult knowledge and experience. In our natural life, children normally do what their parents tell them to do if they are obedient to their parents. Likewise the Bible Believer or Christian are children of God by the Spirit and therefore become obedient, dependent and responsive to the Word of God, and his leaders in the Church. By doing so, God will deal with the Believer as a spiritual (not literal) son of God.
But even before we can become sons (and in reality, daughters as well) of God, we need to have faith in God. Romans 8 verses 24-25 talks about hope that is not seen but based on faith, and by this we become true Believers. Within this context, there is a difference between hope and knowledge. When someone has hope he/she is demonstrating patience with the belief that what is waiting for will happen as expected. Knowledge however, is base on what is already known and therefore has no element of hope since it is already seen and is known. Hope is associated with faith from a Christian perspective.
Hebrews 11 verses 1-7 have information about Faith and how historically that was demonstrated by Bible characters who believed in God. So Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Faith is therefore extremely essential to believing God and the Christian Bible. We know science does not reply on faith but on Empirical research as a way of gaining knowledge by means of direct and indirect observation or experience. Science is great and need by all societies. It is the means by which our lives are made more humane, social and our interpersonal existence become more acceptable. But that is not what God requires to be received by him. He requires faith in him and the demonstration of that faith by obeying the principles of the Bible to be accepted and saved from evil by him. Therefore, our foundation for coming to God and understanding him cannot be based on science from man/woman knowledge, but from faith in the Bible.
Christian Believers are to God a chosen generation and a royal priesthood. Read 1 Peter 2 verses 9-10 (King James Version) and you will be enlightened by this information. Therefore, all nations, cultures, people (or Gentiles as the Bible says) are called to receive Christian Salvation and become a part of the royal Christian family of God. So if you are living in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, Australia, and so on, you can become a Christian Believer. Romans 1 verse 16 says the gospel of Christ is the power of God to everyone that believe, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. And Romans 11 verse 11 says salvation is come unto the Gentiles. So we know all nations across the world are entitled to receive salvation form God if they believe the Bible as the true Word of God and therefore follow its instructions about how to receive God’s Divine Blessings.
