You’ve been in a committed relationship for a while now, and know you’ve found the one! First off, congratulations! You know you want to propose in the near future, but have NO idea how to do it. Are you and your girlfriend an adventurous couple who love the outdoors? Why not pop the question IN the great outdoors? No clue where to start? Rest easy, I have provided a detailed list of adventurous ways to pop the question in the great outdoors!
First off, here are some outdoor venues that may provide the perfect setting to set up the proposal:
-Hiking up a mountain
-Scenic Proposal (Beach, Mountain, Eiffel Tower etc.)
If you have a special place in the outdoors that is sentimental to you both, why not propose there?
The Planning Process: In order to plan a proposal, especially if you want it to be a surprise, you MUST plan ahead! Guys, I know planning ahead is not always the first thing on your mind, but this is an important life event! Plan a fun activity beforehand, like one of the ones listed above. Make sure to bring a camera and take lots of pictures before and afterwards, or better yet, have someone taking pictures of you in secret. (Have them hide out) You will want the actual proposal to be photographed. Reenactments are never as good in photos as the real thing! Cater the proposal to your girlfriend. If she is into being romantic and mushy, go all out with rose petals, candles, etc. If she does not like to be embarrassed in public, make sure it is a private proposal with just the two of you. This is your time to get creative! A helpful tip: pop the question when she least expects it! If your girlfriend is anything like me, she is great at ruining surprises because she is always expecting something. So, catch her off her guard if you can!
A Story to Remember – A proposal will hopefully only happen once in your lifetime, so make it one worth remembering! Remember, your fiancée’ will want to tell everyone how it happened, so make it a good story to tell. Even if it is nothing extravagant or fancy, you can still be creative.
No matter how you do it, if you are with the person you love, the proposal will be perfect. After all, it’s not really about the proposal, but the promise of forever. That being said, you want the proposal to be something that the two of you share and remember for a lifetime, so be sure to plan ahead and make it special!
