I interviewed over 30 show biz and film celebrities in two plus hours along the Red Carpet during the 85thAcademy Awards Oscar Night Las Vegas-Style, at the Palm Hotel & Casino.
Among the first arrivals was the beautiful Robbin Young, the James Bond Girl with Roger Moore in “For Your Eyes Only”.
With sexy women, villains trying to kill Bond in imaginative ways and Mega-budget SFX, this was quite an exciting role.
Robbin felt, “Playboy held a contest to search of the James Bond Girl and a screen test with Roger Moore and Hugh Hefner.
After winning the part, I traveled to Italy for the filming but was surprised the weather was very cold. I lived in southern Florida and wasn’t used to the cold.
Talking about the Oscars, Robbin said, I’m a fan of Ben Affleck since he wasn’t nominated for the Best Director award I’m rooting for “Argo” as Best Picture.
The “Silver Lining Playbook” touched my heart. It’s like an old-fashioned love story. Some of the scenes were very passionate you could see the chemistry between them. Even though the scenes were erotic, did you notice there weren’t any sex scenes? It was fabulous to have a film with that much passion. What expressions you see in Jennifer Lawrence’s eyes!” Robert De Niro doesn’t have to say anything, it is just his look, that’s real acting.”
In keeping with her sexy image, Robbin’s form fitting gown had a split on each side allowing some skin to be seen. One role opened many doors for Robbin and now she is writing her memoirs.
I met Cesar Lazcano and Shanti Lleone, two of the stars of “Stripped, the Play”, at Planet Hollywood. After appearing on the radio in Los Angeles and winning Billboard World, ISC and NATS Awards, Shanti looked forward to recording her upcoming album in Las Vegas.
Her choice for the Oscars was Daniel Day Lewis for Best Actor in “Lincoln”.
Cesar favored the light hearted “Silver Lining Playbook” for Best Picture. “Because of my experience behind the camera with independent films, I feel “Playbook” was a more complete film overall in terms of writing, structure.
Cesar recently appeared in a scene with Russell brand and Academy Award for Supporting Actress winner (“The Help”) Octavia Spencer in Director Diablo Cody film.
The next celebrity always stands-out in a crowd, the voluptuous Sandy Anderson is a Dolly Parton impressionist. Sandy has appeared in “Legends in Concert” for years and recently, in Germany, in “Stars in Concert” which will be opening soon in Las Vegas.
