And the jockeying continues.
Week four of the NFL season brought us many things — wonder at how delicious a Matt Schaub pick-six burger could taste, why we’d export two crappy teams to England for a somewhat-entertaining game of “American football,” and heartbreak for every Atlanta Falcon fan in this league.
All of us.
The biggest question this week: Which was worse? Jacksonville being benched this week, the NY Jets being benched, or Cleveland scoring 0 points?
“Jacksonville being benched was the worst overall move so far,” Ben said after retaking the lead. “I’m feeling pretty good about my roster — chaos in Tampa Bay and both Super Bowl team QBs have struggled.”
Just don’t ask him about his fantasy football team (or click the link and find out for yourself!).
Perhaps a more pronounced response? Taylor: “Why? How could you? Why would you ever bench Jacksonville?”
And yet, two 40+-point performances, including Blaine Gabbert’s most recent failpocalypse, were left on the bench as Ben raced to a 40-point lead, every one of us six changed position in the standings, and the battle for last place took another turn.
An ongoing league-wide discussion is a debate over whether Ben should receive 35 points for the mid-week benching of Josh Freeman in this year’s number one NFL soap opera. Normal BQBL rules award the points for benching during a game only. Tweet your thoughts with the #BQBL hashtag and let us know what you think!
