Breathtaking. At first sight, this pool was just breathtaking. The amazing waterfalls create a wonderful background noise to complete the ambiance at the Napili Pool. The Hyatt offers many different seating options with wonderful umbrellas and tables. The basketball hoop in the water was so much fun. We met some new friends as we practiced shooting hoops.
Keiki Lagoon (kid’s pool)
My family spent more time in the kid’s pool. The 3,000 square foot sandy beach area is perfect for kids to play on and the sandy pool bottom keeps kids from getting hurt and slipping. The water is extremely warm so it’s great for kids of all ages. My two-year old had an absolute blast in the Keiki Lagoon. The fountains that shoot up ten feet in the air were a fun touch but on a windy day, were quite bothersome for us adults because of the cold mist, but the kids loved it. The two turtles and floating dolphins were also so much fun. They are made of a soft material to keep kids from getting hurt. My daughter and I also had a blast going down the twenty-five foot long water slide into the kid’s pool. We must’ve gone down that slide thirty times each day.
On hot days, the pool staff came around with ice cold Otter Pops for adults and children to enjoy. This was so nice and I can’t thank the staff enough for this.
We loved our room. I was just the right size for our family. The closet was a great size and offered lots of storage space and a safe. The artwork in the room was very ‘Hawaiian’ and gave the room a good vibe. Our view was a partial-ocean view which provided beautiful sunsets off the balcony. The only downside was the construction work going on next to our hotel. It was a bit noisy during the week, but we got used to it after awhile.
The beds were very comfy, the toiletries were wonderful and the staff was extremely helpful. There wasn’t much water pressure in the shower/bath and it took forever to fill the bathtub up. But, since we spent most of our time on the beach and by the pool, we could care less about the water pressure.
Since we had my toddler with us, the staff brought up a cute little crib filled with baby toiletries. This is something to keep in mind if you plan on staying at this hotel. You don’t need to bring baby toiletries, which is wonderful.
Around the hotel:
The lush hotel grounds were so beautiful. We never got bored exploring the many sites to see around the hotel. Unfortunately, we never got to try out the Spa, but I hear it’s great.
Dining at the hotel:
There are so many dining options at the Hyatt. Umalu was a bit pricey and our meals didn’t come with fries (you had to order them separately) but the food was excellent. We took advantage of the daily happy hour deals at the Umalu bar, which I recommend.
We ate at the Swan Court Breakfast buffet every morning which was also pretty pricey. But again, the food was excellent. If you aren’t a big breakfast eater, the coffee bar is a great option. You can order bagels, coffee and other small breakfast items.
Overall, our experience at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa was one to remember and I hope to go back soon. If you’re looking for an excellent kid-friendly hotel in Maui, I highly recommend this one. There is plenty to do and lots to see.
