The Loremaster is a much sought after achievement and title. However, most people going for it tend to lose patience and give up straight away. This is mostly in part because the achievement requires you to do almost every single quest in the entire game. With how big World of Warcraft is, that is a lot of quests to do. You will need to get the achievements for doing every quest in every zone from Kalimdor to Eastern Kingdoms and all the way to Pandaria.
While this seems like a lot of work, the reward is definitely worth it. Not only will you have an achievement few others have gotten, you will also get a title (“Loremaster”), a tabard, and in doing The Loremaster achievement, you will also earn a bunch of other achievements along the way.
If this sounds like something you want to attempt, then be sure to read on as I share with you a few tips that will help you complete this achievement, and not get too burnt out while doing it.
Take advantage of the natural questing flow
It’s easy to get distracted or bored and change your questing from say, Eastern Kingdoms to Northrend and back, however doing this will only take longer and may even confuse you as to where to go next.
If you pick an area and stay in it, you’ll find questing will be much smoother and quicker. If you want to start in Kalimdor, for example, you can start in one of the low-level zones and as you do quests, they will lead you into the next area you need to do.
Wait until level cap
While you can try to get Loremaster while leveling a character, it will take you much longer as it will be harder to travel and take longer to complete quest objectives. Not to mention, it will take you much longer to level up since you’ll be going back to low-level zones to complete the quests there.
It is much better to use a level 90 character to complete this achievement as you will be able to kill things much faster and will have access to flying mounts and other transportation.
Take frequent breaks
It is incredibly easy to get burnt out on questing while doing The Loremaster achievement. Some people even go so far as to quit playing World of Warcraft entirely.
This is why I recommend taking frequent breaks in-between zones. Watch a movie, go for a walk, play another game, do whatever you can to change up the scenery. Once you come back, you’ll be in a better mood to quest again.
Bring a friend
Whether it’s for the entire achievement or just a zone or two, bringing a friend along makes doing The Loremaster achievement much more fun.
If you have a friend that also wants the achievement then it’s even better. You both can work on it while keeping each other company.
PvP, Dungeons, and Pet Battles
There is a lot you can do while trying for The Loremaster achievement. You can queue up for a dungeon or raid, you can take a quick break and do some PvP, or if you’re on a PvP server, you can partake in some world PvP while questing.
You can also have some fun with pet battles while leveling. You can level your pets and capture new, and even rare pets in each zone while you’re questing.
As you can see, going for The Loremaster achievement doesn’t have to be hard or mind-numbingly boring. As long as you have a good questing strategy and follow my tips, you will have it in no time.
