Every year the Grand Strand offers a host of fun things to do each spring, and many of these events are reasonably priced. There is a wonderful bouquet of events to satisfy adults and children alike. The Grand Strand also offers a bevy of activities for family members to enjoy; some of them include package deals to save money while vacationing on the Grand Strand.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival hosted by North Myrtle Beach will include an oyster roast, and will comprise a broad selection of Irish food. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday March 16 at Main Street. A horde of Irish entertainment will include; live Irish music and dancers to boot. The festival will also include a variety of beer tents, plus many local vendors. The festival will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.
The Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Celebration will be held at 800 North Ocean Boulevard. The celebration will begin with a free live concert – featuring local musicians. The St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Myrtle Beach will also include an alcohol-free kid’s zone that will consist of face painting, and several other fun things for the kids to enjoy. There will be a variety of authentic Irish food and beers, they will include Killians, Guinness, Harp, and many more. The Saint Patty Celebration is on March 16; festivities will begin at noon and end at 11 p.m.
The St. Patrick’s Day Dance will be held in Surfside Beach Civic Center on March 15. The dance will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 10pm; anyone wishing to join the St. Patty Day dance – phone 843-650-9548 for age requirement and additional information about the dance.
The 6th Annual Taste of the Coast at Barefoot Landing will be hosted by North Myrtle Beach. The benefit party will include a wide variety of food contributed by the areas top restaurants. The gala event will begin on March 23; festivities will start at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. The proceeds from the 6th Annual Taste of the Coast benefit funds go towards students of Risen Christ Lutheran School.
The Equinox Art & Music Festival will be hosted by the Conway community – located at the Horry County Courthouse Lawn, downtown Conway. The festivities begin on March 23; they include cultural art exhibitions, heritage resources about Conway, and business connections. The 27th Rivertown Music and Arts Festival will be held on May 4th, the festival begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 9 p.m. There will be a wonderful variety of music that range from; jazz, gospel, and beach music. Local artist, merchants, crafters, and vendors will offer many items for sale that will line the downtown streets in Conway. There will be local cuisine and appetizers located in the food court. This is a family friendly event that has become a staple of what Conway hospitality is all about.
