Lego and Minecraft have taken two of the most sought after toys for kids and made them into one fantastic toy that kids can’t wait to get a hold of. With three different designs and a host of smaller Lego creations to choose from, parents will have no trouble deciding on what to get for their kids.
Lego Minecraft Designs
When Lego Minecraft first made its debut, three different designs were introduced (listed below). Since that time, box-after-box has been flying off the shelves. With Christmas fast approaching, it makes me wonder if these will be the first Christmas toys to sell out.
Each year, one or more new release toy sells out leaving parents to search the internet and auction sites just to find an overpriced version of the toy on their child’s wish list. This is one of those toys that you will see parents and grandparents fighting in the aisles for on Black Friday, if you know what I mean.
Here are the three Lego Minecraft designs to look for:
- Lego Minecraft (Original) – using a modular design this set is equipped to make eight different modules (4 above ground and 4 below ground). Just like the game, kids can build caves, trees, and other Minecraft structures. Pieces of the toy represent the Lego and Minecraft worlds excellently as they are true to shape and form and can easily be identified.
- Lego Minecraft The Nether – for any child, teen, or adult who play the game relentlessly, they will know exactly what ‘The Nether’ is and will see this set is also true to the virtual Minecraft world. The set includes 3 buildable creatures – two Ghasts and a Zombie Pigman. This set can be combined with the other sets to make a larger Minecraft Lego World as well.
- Lego Minecraft The Village – this ‘village’ set winds up the third world in the set. This set can be split into 4 different playing parts. Comes with removable wall elements for the TNT explosion effects! Includes a villager, pig, and zombie. Use this set with the other sets to make a whole Lego Minecraft World!
Tip for Buying These Sets
Be careful when buying these Lego Minecraft sets as you can get them in regular Lego size or in “micro”. While some kids love the micro sets, others will be disappointed if the set is not the true block sizes. Also be aware that the Original designs comes in both sizes.
Whether you will be getting this for a birthday present, a Christmas gift, or just because you want to, the child (or adult) will surely love it just as much as they love the online game.
