Small spaces can be comfortable with versatile furniture. Studio apartments, RV’s, cabins, small houses and more can benefit from furniture that serves more than one function or is easy to remove and store. Imagine a family, a husband and wife with two children in a one-bedroom apartment living comfortably. It does sound too cramped, but it does not have to be.

Although studio apartments are generally considered enough space for single people, couples can move about, entertain and store items without a problem.

Let’s begin by decorating the one-bedroom apartment. Starting in the children’s bedroom, this article will suggest furniture that allows the maximum amount of use in each object.

Children’s Room

  • · Foldaway bunk beds that fold down for sleeping, and up into a frame during the day. The children have room to play, study and more.
  • · Stackable cube organizers that create desks, dressers, tables and more by arranging and rearranging the configuration. You can also make the cubes in custom sizes. Place two sets or stacks of cubes 24″ to 36″ apart and cover with a melamine shelf to create an instant desk. Secure with screws for small children.
  • · Fabric drawers that fit into the cube organizers. They are made from sturdy fabric and area available in a wide variety of colors.
  • · Two foam sleeper chairs for seating and sleepovers. Make a pair to custom size, fabric and type of foam.
  • · Folding table and chairs for activities, games or meals.

The Living/Dining Room/Adult Bedroom

  • · A bookcase Murphy bed allows for book storage as well as sleeping space.
  • · Create a custom entertainment center by using stackable cube organizers in different configurations. Mix and match different ready-made cabinets to create a custom entertainment center/closet/dresser for the ultimate in storage.
  • · Folding table for eating, playing games, using computers, completing homework, entertaining and more.
  • · Folding dining chairs easily stack in a corner or closet to create more space.
