Cheyenne, Wyoming may not exactly be known as America’s romance capital, but that doesn’t mean you can’t impress your Valentine with a lovely evening in the Frontier City. Whether your love is outdoorsy, indoorsy, or all about the pampering, Cheyenne’s got something for you. With a bit of planning, you can make this the best Valentine’s yet!
For dinner, you’ve got plenty of choices. If your love is more the laid back, casual type, try the organic fare at the Paramount Café at 1607 Capital Avenue, or the delicious steaks and signature cornbread at Steamboat’s Steakhouse at 1947 Dell Range Blvd. Both have yummy food in a casual (but not too casual) atmosphere.
If your sweetheart prefers something a little more intimate, try the hearty Italian dishes at Pizzeria Venti at 112 E 17th St.; the comfort food at the historic Morris House Bistro at 2114 Warren Avenue; or the steaks, seafood, and gourmet pasta dishes at Poor Richard’s at 2233 East Lincolnway (don’t let the lack of curb appeal fool you, the food’s amazing!)
And if your Valentine wants something with more of an “uptown” vibe, try The Suite Bistro & Martini Bar at 1901 Central Avenue. It’s Cheyenne’s newest restaurant, and the martini menu alone will wow you.
And of course, if you lack any semblance of creativity (or have young kids in tow), there’s always the Olive Garden on Dell Range Blvd.
Before or after dinner with your Valentine, there are plenty of fun and romantic things to do in Cheyenne. You could stroll through the Botanic Gardens at Lions Park, or take a horse-drawn carriage ride through historic downtown.
For a high-class evening (and to score some major brownie points) you could attend a beautiful performance by the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra. (Yes, Cheyenne has a symphony. Are you shocked?) They’re amazing!
You can also unwind and get a little pampering at the Transformations Wellness Holistic Spa. Couple’s massage, anyone?
Are you the outdoorsy types? Get out on the trails at the Snowy Range Ski & Recreation Area up in Laramie, only a quick drive west from Cheyenne. Lessons, equipment rentals, and Friday and Saturday tubing; they’ve got you covered!
And finally, end your date night right by spending a relaxing, romantic evening at the beautiful and historic Nagle Warren Mansion Bed & Breakfast in historic downtown Cheyenne.
I hope these suggestions help you plan a fun and romantic Valentine’s Day date night (or any date night, for that matter)! Let me know how it went in the comments section below!
