My favorite comforting bath soak to make on a cold autumn day when I want something sweet, pampering and warming is my vanilla bean goat’s milk bath soak. The soak is highly nourishing to the skin and the warm vanilla scent brings calmness and relaxation to my body, mind and spirit. Vanilla bean has many beautifying and healing properties it can provide to the skin and body, and it has a sweet heavenly light scent that always uplifts my mood when I am overly stressed and depressed.
Healing and Beautifying Properties of Goat’s Milk and Vanilla Bean
Making my bath soak using goat’s milk and vanilla bean is wonderful. The goat’s milk provides lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid, which are acids needed to exfoliate the dead skin from the new skin. Goat’s milk also contains essential fatty acids and vitamins such as vitamins A, B complex, D and E. The milk also contains minerals such as zinc, which is needed to keep skin healthy and glowing. Along with all amazing nutrients that nourish the skin the milk, helps hydrate and even out the complexion of the skin as well too.
Vanilla bean is useful in the bath soak because of the heavenly sweet scent it has and the healing and beautifying properties it contains. Vanilla bean naturally contains sedative properties, which helps relieve aches and pains in the body, helps with treating insomnia and restlessness, and treats tension headaches. The herb also contains antioxidants that help prevent cell damage and signs of aging. The lovely vanilla bean also helps reduce stress, depression and anxiety, which in the end helps reduce high blood pressure, heart attacks due to stress and panic attacks. When the body is less stressed, the skin looks more youthful and beautifying.
Ingredients Needed for the Vanilla Bean Goat’s Milk Bath Soak
The ingredients I use to make the vanilla bean goat’s milk bath soak are six cups of goat’s milk powder, ten vanilla beans sliced open and the seeds scrapped out into a separate bowl, four cups of bath soda and a cup of Epsom salts. These ingredients can be easily purchased at your local whole food grocery store. The vanilla beans can be expensive, but I feel they are well worth getting and using in this bath soak because they contain the most medicinal and beautifying properties.
Making the Bath Soak
The way I make the vanilla bean goat’s milk bath soak is by pouring the goat’s milk powder, the scrapped out vanilla bean seeds, baking soda and Epsom salt into a large bowl. Then, combine the ingredients together to form a vanilla bean goat’s milk bath soak that will be powdery with little black specks throughout. After, the soak is made carefully pour it into a large gallon jar and toss the vanilla beans on top of the soak before placing the lid on. The vanilla beans soaking on top of the soak will help enhance the vanilla scent it will have. Once the soak is made, store it in the bathroom for easy use.
Making a Vanilla Bean Bath
To make a lovely relaxing and pampering vanilla bean bath with the soak, fill the bath up with plenty of hot water. After, take three cups of the soak and pour it into the tub. The soak will dissolve into the water and release this lovely sweet and soft milky vanilla scent into the air. After, get into the bath and soak for as long as you need too. I always do an hour at a time. I feel an hour really helps pamper and relax the body and mind beautifully.
