These days it seems like kids have everything, so when birthday time comes around, figuring out what to get a kid is hard. Here are some great gift ideas any boy turning seven would love to get.
Lego’s. Every boy loves Lego’s, heck every kid loves Lego’s, so this is always a great pick. I personally love Lego’s because they have to be built and they make the individual building them think and follow instructions. Plus, they provided hours and hours of fun.
Tent. My son loves to camp and was super excited when he got a tent from his daddy for his seventh birthday. He loves sleeping in it out in the yard and he does it all by himself. Young boys love to pretend they are on adventures and having their own tent help make those adventure that much more fun. One night my son is camping in the Rainforest, and the next he is in his secret hideout.
Video Game. Okay, okay I know what you are thinking, but you have to admit they are nice entertainment on those rainy days or when it is just too hot to go out and play. I realize there are tons of other inside things to do; however, I do not mind my son playing a video game now and again, besides video games are not all about just playing these days, some are very educational and with the right set ups, physical as well. Here are some age appropriate games for a 7 year old boy; Kinect Sports, Disney Planes, Phineas & Ferb Quest for Cool Stuff , Trivial Pursuit, Little Big Planet 2, Duck tails Remastered and of the Lego games.
Book. Books are always a great gift to give and a great way to get a young boys imagination going. There are many books for young readers to enjoy these days, to capture their attention and let their minds escape for a while. These are a few series a boy turning 7 would definitely enjoy; “Redwall” by Brian Jacques, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” by Jeff Kinney, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” by Rick Riordan, “The Magic School Bus” by Joanna Cola and “The Boxcar Children” by Gertrude Chandler Warner.
Science Kits. Young boys like to ask why and how. They want to build and create things and see how things work. Seven is a great age to get kids interested in science and there are many amazing science kits that can help do just that. So not only would a science kit be a neat gift, he would be learning and discovering at the same time. The Young Scientists Club and The Slink Scientist are both great science kit series and perfect for a young boys growing mind.
