The handle on my old mop broke. I needed a new one. Online Spin Mop reviews read either great or disappointed for various brands and models. It looked awesome on TV and my floors needed a cleaning. I ordered online from a trusted TV shopping network. The Spin Mop Deluxe not only promised easy cleaning without getting your hands wet, but it also has an Extender Handle that allows you to clean under furniture, ceiling fans, blinds and the top of your furniture. You can also control the moisture or wetness of your mop by spinning out excess water.
The Spin Mop arrived promptly and the only thing that needed assembly was the mop itself. However, this was so easy and would have taken me less time had I read the instructions. The bucket is ready to use.
What to watch out for when ordering a Spin Mop
There are many similar products but buyer beware! The fibers on the mop heads are not of the same quality with all brands. Not all buckets spin both ways. The Spin Mop bucket should spin not only on top to wring out the mop but also inside on the bottom to loosen dirt in the water.
I regret not having ordered the replacement heads with my initial purchase so I had to do that later. The fibers on the Spin Mop Deluxe are superior to many of the imitation brands and this flaw may account for some negative reviews for similar products.
Having a spin mechanism on the inside of the bucket makes for easier dirt extraction from the mop.
I have dogs and kids. I always sweep or vacuum before mopping. The Spin Mop Deluxe is light weight and easy to use. Once you get used to the process, it is fast and simple. Straighten the mop handle, dip the mop in water, spin, lift into upper compartment to expel the water, spin again and get cleaning.
The Spin Mop Deluxe leaves no streaks or smears on my ceramic tile using my regular cleaner and cleaning the baseboards is easy, too. Simply tilt the head and mop them clean.
Expelling most of the water allows you to dust areas that may be sensitive to water damage or makes for faster drying when mopping your floors.
The only thing I am not 100 percent impressed by is the Extender Handle because when I take the mop head off it sometimes doesn’t stay locked and extends. This means that instead of just stepping on the mop head and pulling the handle, I have to bend down to remove it by hand sometimes. However, the Extender Handle is great if you want to reach up high and to get under furniture because it bends.
I would buy the Spin Mop Deluxe with Extender Handle again and believe that it would be a great tool for someone with arthritis or who has trouble bending down. It does make mopping easier and faster for me.
